Welcome friend. I thank you for stopping by and checking out my work. I am based in Ontario Canada and wear several different hats – all of which I hope to hang somewhere on this site. I think it will be an eclectic mix of content!
I work as a small farmer and logger using Percheron draft horses. I farm sustainably and see stewardship of the soil as a primary objective. I log carefully and selectively and as of this writing have a wintertime-only contract to log a large private tract of virgin timber. I have a camp established there and spend the winter in the woods.
You will also find here, from time to time, some of my work and thought as a writer. I have written short stories, poetry and, most recently, a novel.
I am open about my spiritual journey and bias: I am a traditionally-minded Catholic, adhering to the teachings of the Church as best I can. I’m no saint.
I live in a region with very poor internet service and it is often only with great difficulty, and a great deal of patience, that I can access the internet. Please bear this in mind should you happen to comment and get no response. As I learn how to navigate my way here on WordPress I hope to refine this site, but for now what you see is what you get!
